LeBron to Cleveland, Melo to NYC, D-Wade and Bosh back to Miami would not even begin to cover the amount of signings this free agency has given us. Plus, we’re on the verge of a possible trade involving Kevin Love leaving Minnesota to go to the Cavaliers. There’s an endless amount of information that I could state, and I’ll do that next time!
LeBron James states to SI.com that he will be reuniting with his old team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Personally, I was a little shocked, I thought he would of taken a different approach, but the article states that it was his calling to return. Well, now this will create a chain reaction of free agents signing, so hang tight.
Today we tip-off the 2014 All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. We have 2 exciting games with the Celebrity Game and the Rising Stars Challenge. Tomorrow is another exciting night with the Skills Challenge, 3 point contest, and the Slam Dunk Contest. Sunday, of course, is the 62nd NBA All-Star Game. This showdown features the best players in the league. Surely an exciting weekend we have!
As Wild Card Weekend approaches in The NFL, we have to make predictions. In the AFC, Tom Brady has led the Pats to yet another winning season. With a 12-4 record New England is a team to look out for. Then there is Denver. Peyton Manning crushed about a billion records, so there is no wonder why Denver has the 1 seed. Personally I still think Denver can’t win because of this: San Diego, the 6 seed beat them. I think they won’t make it past the divisional round, because whoever they face will want to win more. In The NFC, the Packers took a wild ride but made it due to great leadership Sunday by Aaron Rodgers. Then there is the Panthers. Cam Newton has had a phenomenal season leading them to the playoffs. This years’ playoffs will take a rocky, bumpy, ride. We will have to see what happens.
Coverage on the Super Bowl coming up next.
As the NBA season rolls around, we wonder what the season has in pack. With all these questions that are attempting to be answered, I decided to make a couple of paragraphs to explain the sections of the season. They are listed below.
When the season starts it will be a reboot of players that have been injured like Derrick Rose. Since Rose has taken time to “Recharge his batteries” he will be better and improve the Bulls very well. Also a rebooted player listed is Kobe Bryant, who tore his Achilles last season. Believe me, the Lakers need a great season with Kobe to continue being the successful franchise they’re known for. My final pre-season wrap-up is KD and KingJames. Durant has gained another weapon back, Russell Westbrook. While James is getting a better Dwayne Wade, who suffered on and off injury problems last year. This is one of my basketball previews. I’ll try to make another NBA explanation once the season starts. GOOD LUCK TEAMS
Julio Jones, of the Atlanta Falcons has to undergo foot surgery and miss the remainder of the season. In my opinion, he was one of the best WR in the NFC. One of my biggest disappointments why Jones is on the IR, is that he was on my fantasy football team and was doing really good! If Roddy White and Harry Douglas can step up, the Falcons might have a fair opportunity to be safe in the wide receiver position, but I doubt it. Matt Ryan I’m sorry.
The Philly Eagles are playing the Kansas City Chiefs as you read this, and well, nothing major has happened KC is leading ten zip, but that is about all. I know a lot of people who are Eagles fans, so I assume they will be pulling for them. I am a Redskins fan personally, and I think the only reason Philly is doing well, is because they have a high paced offense led by Chip Kelly and Mike Vick. My projection is KC winning we’ll say 27-24. I do believe it will be a great game to watch!
Rob Gronkowski has been reported by the Patriots that he has a 50-50 chance of returning for this Sunday’s game VS. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gronk is a great football player, and I project that if he can stay healthy, he can have a good season. He has to be a key player this year, since the Pats have lost many WR weapons.
The Virginia Tech Hokies (2-1) (0-0) ACC, have been doing, in my opinion pretty good, they could make a fairly good bowl this year (of course this would take months before a lot of people could consider that happening). Led by Logan Thomas on offense, and Kyle Fuller on defense, this team a powerhouse of potential. What could the 13 season have in store for them?
