As the NBA season rolls around, we wonder what the season has in pack. With all these questions that are attempting to be answered, I decided to make a couple of paragraphs to explain the sections of the season. They are listed below.
When the season starts it will be a reboot of players that have been injured like Derrick Rose. Since Rose has taken time to “Recharge his batteries” he will be better and improve the Bulls very well. Also a rebooted player listed is Kobe Bryant, who tore his Achilles last season. Believe me, the Lakers need a great season with Kobe to continue being the successful franchise they’re known for. My final pre-season wrap-up is KD and KingJames. Durant has gained another weapon back, Russell Westbrook. While James is getting a better Dwayne Wade, who suffered on and off injury problems last year. This is one of my basketball previews. I’ll try to make another NBA explanation once the season starts. GOOD LUCK TEAMS
Julio Jones, of the Atlanta Falcons has to undergo foot surgery and miss the remainder of the season. In my opinion, he was one of the best WR in the NFC. One of my biggest disappointments why Jones is on the IR, is that he was on my fantasy football team and was doing really good! If Roddy White and Harry Douglas can step up, the Falcons might have a fair opportunity to be safe in the wide receiver position, but I doubt it. Matt Ryan I’m sorry.
The Philly Eagles are playing the Kansas City Chiefs as you read this, and well, nothing major has happened KC is leading ten zip, but that is about all. I know a lot of people who are Eagles fans, so I assume they will be pulling for them. I am a Redskins fan personally, and I think the only reason Philly is doing well, is because they have a high paced offense led by Chip Kelly and Mike Vick. My projection is KC winning we’ll say 27-24. I do believe it will be a great game to watch!
Rob Gronkowski has been reported by the Patriots that he has a 50-50 chance of returning for this Sunday’s game VS. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gronk is a great football player, and I project that if he can stay healthy, he can have a good season. He has to be a key player this year, since the Pats have lost many WR weapons.
The Virginia Tech Hokies (2-1) (0-0) ACC, have been doing, in my opinion pretty good, they could make a fairly good bowl this year (of course this would take months before a lot of people could consider that happening). Led by Logan Thomas on offense, and Kyle Fuller on defense, this team a powerhouse of potential. What could the 13 season have in store for them?
The Washington Redskins struggled today when they visited Green Bay, the Skins (0-2) lost, 38-20, but last year that had a up and down season so we will have to see what this year has in store
Doc Rivers is now the head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers. I honestly thought he would stay with the Celtics, but I guess it was just time for them to part ways. With Rivers gone, the big three may not be together for the 13-14 NBA season. Paul Pierce will be the hardest one to break away from Boston, KG on the other hand he might be able to make a deal, but only to limited teams the are bound for the play-offs. If they decided to leave, the Celtics would not let go of Rajon Rondo. We’ll just have to see how it works out.
The San Antonio Spurs may be aging but certainly aren’t finished. In the first round they cruised by the L.A. Lakers easily, In the Western Conference Semis they took out the Golden State Warriors, and to advance to the NBA Finals they have to take out the Memphis Grizzlies. Led by Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and that is just a few of them. If they keep this up they will be unstoppable!
The Georgetown Hoyas’ are silently making their way into the top 5 in the NCAAM Top 25. Right now they are ranked No. 7. On Saturday they pulled a major upset against Syracuse, ending their 38 home-game winning streak. Maybe they will pull another one.
